In just a few days, my new novella, The Grand Librarian: Life of an Immortal will be released. Nervousness and excitement have been flowing through my entire body since I sent it off to the publisher. My main concerns; Will anyone like it? Should I have waited to introduce the newest character to the HMU? Obviously, the first concern is one that all writers have. You can't move forward unless there's an audience for your work. The second concern is definitely more personal. I know my characters through and through in the HMU. Incorporating a wizard to the team was a stretch and a huge gamble for me. However, I trust my friend's judgement, who helped me come up with the idea of The Grand Librarian. And the thought of speaking to a different audience in the supernatural world intrigued me.
So I'm hoping things go well and I'm keeping my expectations in check. I've just gotten the edit back for Father Tom Padilla: Mark of the Demon Priest. After the some hiccups, it will finally be going out to the publisher. I'm midway through Jericho Caine, Vampire Slayer: Redemption. The Bad Angel's novella will follow. And then guys, it will be time for The Hangman Returns - a full length novel. I'm trying to keep my excitement contained for writing the return and the baddest half man/half demon that's ever walked the earth. Leading off the franchise with these supporting characters has been a thrill. And at the end of the day, I'm hoping that this entire project blows readers away.
